This Privacy Policy explains how the Prompt Buttons browser extension handles information when you use it. Prompt Buttons is currently provided by me as an independent individual developer.
Prompt Buttons helps users create, manage, and use reusable prompt buttons inside supported AI chat websites. The extension is designed to make inserting saved prompts faster and to help users organize their prompt workflow.
I do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information or user data from the extension. The extension does not send your prompts, chat content, browsing activity, files, settings, or extension usage data to me or to any analytics, advertising, or tracking service.
To provide its core functionality, the extension stores certain settings and user-created content locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage and site local storage. This may include:
This locally stored information is used only to make the extension work for you. It remains in your browser unless you export it, import it, delete it, clear browser storage, or uninstall the extension.
Prompt Buttons includes optional backup, import, and export features. When you use these features, backup files are created, selected, or read only on your device or in a folder you choose through the browser. The extension does not upload backup files to any server.
The extension requests only the permissions needed for its stated purpose:
The extension does not load or execute remotely hosted code. Its functionality is provided by the files included in the extension package installed from the Chrome Web Store.
The extension does not use analytics tools, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, cookies for tracking, or third-party advertising services.
Prompt Buttons works on supported AI chat websites. Those websites are operated by their respective providers and are governed by their own privacy policies and terms. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Prompt Buttons extension and does not control how third-party websites process information you enter into those websites.
I do not sell, rent, transfer, or share user data with third parties. I do not use user data for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or data brokerage purposes.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can manage or delete prompt buttons and settings inside the extension. You can also remove locally stored extension data by clearing browser storage or uninstalling the extension from Chrome.
The extension is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
I may update this Privacy Policy if the extension's functionality or data practices change. Any updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
